Meet Teacher Broderick (Guitar & Voice)
Broderick is a dedicated local musician currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at MacEwan University, majoring in General Music with a minor in Songwriting. His musical journey began at a young age and grew into a deeper passion during his high school years, where he began learning percussion, bass, guitar, and voice.
Over the past four years at MacEwan, Broderick has developed a diverse musical foundation, studying Jazz, Pop, and global genres including Afro-Cuban, Latin, African, and Folk. He has been an active performer in Edmonton’s music scene for the past three years, playing in rock and punk bands and performing solo at open mics as a singer-songwriter.
In addition to performing, Broderick is an accomplished songwriter with experience composing for his academic work, bands, and visual media. His work has been featured in the documentary series Crip Trip, and he continues to write for student films and other collaborative projects. He also has hands-on experience with mixing and mastering, developed through his studies and independent work.
Broderick brings a strong background in youth mentorship, having volunteered with children and teens aged 5–18 through youth programs. He has led music teams, taught group performance skills, and helped young musicians gain confidence with their instruments.
With a passion for both teaching and musical exploration, Broderick strives to connect with each student through their unique learning style while sharing his love of music history, culture, and creativity.
Meet Teacher Cassandra (Piano & Voice)
With over 20 years of experience in music and education, Cassandra brings a creative, supportive, and personalized approach to piano instruction. She works with students of all ages and levels—whether they are complete beginners or returning to the instrument after time away—helping each one build confidence, develop strong technique, and foster a genuine love for music.
Cassandra’s teaching style blends classical foundations with a modern, flexible approach. Her lessons emphasize musicality, ear training, and emotional expression, creating a well-rounded and meaningful learning experience. She views piano not only as a valuable skill but also as a form of personal sanctuary, and she is committed to making lessons engaging, enjoyable, and fulfilling. She also offers beginner voice lessons.
Instruction is available for children, teens, and adults, and can be thoughtfully adapted for neurodivergent learners or those seeking a more intuitive or therapeutic approach to music.
Meet Teacher Cindy (Piano)
Cindy is a dedicated piano teacher who holds a Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Level 8 Certificate with Level 2 Theory. She has been teaching since 2024 and is passionate about helping students discover and grow their unique musical talents.
With a belief that music is a powerful form of storytelling and spiritual expression, Cindy aims to create a joyful, encouraging learning environment. She strives to meet each student where they are, helping them find the musical style that best suits their personality and goals. Her teaching philosophy centers on the idea that music has the power to uplift the soul and bring people together.
Cindy is excited to be part of her students' musical journey and is committed to helping them shine.
Meet Teacher Francis (Piano & Voice & Ukulele)
Francis holds a Bachelor of Education and brings over 16 years of experience as a high school teacher, with a strong background in both elementary and secondary music education. He is skilled in teaching piano, ukulele, and drums, and has experience performing and singing at talent shows and local venues. Francis has a deep appreciation for a wide variety of musical genres, including folk, pop, country, and rap.
Known for his calm and positive demeanor, Francis creates a supportive and encouraging learning environment. He values laughter and connection in his lessons, and works to meet each student where they are. By identifying individual learning styles and focusing on music that students enjoy and feel comfortable with, he helps foster both confidence and motivation.
Francis believes in celebrating both small and large achievements, and is passionate about helping students discover the intrinsic value of learning, patience, and hard work.
Meet Teacher Freddy (Guitar & Piano & Voice & Ukulele)
Freddy is a classically trained guitarist with extensive experience in both music performance and education. He completed his musical studies in Montreal and Sherbrooke, specializing in classical guitar for eight years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Culture, as well as a Certificate in Music Culture. Freddy also has experience with beginner piano and voice.
In addition to his performance training, Freddy studied teaching pedagogy for four years and began teaching in public schools in 2001. He has since taught in both public and private school settings and remains deeply committed to music education.
Beyond the classroom, Freddy is an active performer and a member of a mariachi band, regularly participating in musical events across the city. His teaching is guided by the belief that, as Hans Christian Andersen once said, "Where words fail, music speaks."
Meet Teacher Trinity (Voice & Piano)
Trinity is a classically trained soprano from Raymond, Alberta, with a diverse and well-rounded musical background. Her early musical development began in school bands, where she played both flute and baritone saxophone. Over time, Trinity expanded her musical expertise, taking on leadership roles as a section leader with both the University Singers at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the choir at St. James Anglican Church.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Opera Performance from UBC, where she performed in a wide range of operatic productions with the UBC Opera Ensemble, including The Cunning Little Vixen (2023), Rusalka (2024), HMS Pinafore (2024), Street Scene (2025), and Manon (2025). She has also appeared in Tosca (2022) and Cavalleria Rusticana (2023) with Opera West.
Trinity enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels. Her teaching draws from a wide vocal repertoire, including Classical, Musical Theatre, Pop, and R&B. In addition to voice, she also offers beginner piano lessons, providing students with a solid foundation in music fundamentals in a supportive and engaging environment.

Fort Saskatchewan Music Academy is the brainchild of Carol Cowie, a dedicated music educator with an unwavering commitment to nurturing both students and teachers as we embark on our journey towards creating an exceptional music studio experience. Hailing from Northern Ireland, Carol's passion for music ignited at the tender age of 4, under the guidance of esteemed mentors Ruth White and Elizabeth McCausland. At 18, she ventured to Dublin, where her musical odyssey truly began at the College of Music, Dublin.
In Dublin, Carol immersed herself in the world of piano performance and pedagogy, emerging as a top graduate of her class and the proud recipient of the Frank O'Reilly Cup for Perpetual Excellence. Holding the prestigious distinction of being a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music, London, as well as possessing a Graduate Diploma in Music Teaching from the College of Music, Dublin, Carol stands as a beacon of musical proficiency and instructional prowess.
But her musical talents don't stop at the piano. With nearly three decades of teaching experience under her belt, Carol is equally accomplished as a clarinettist and piano accompanist. Her multifaceted musical expertise enriches the learning experiences of all who cross her path.
Carol's infectious enthusiasm for music and teaching is palpable, and she is thrilled to extend her love for both to the vibrant Cochrane community. Her integral role in ensuring that every student and educator at Cochrane Music Academy feels valued and supported makes her an indispensable part of our journey toward building the next level music studio.

Joe is the Owner and Operations Manager of the Fort Sask Music Academy, where his focus is on building a strong foundation that supports both students and teachers. By developing innovative programs, expanding locations, and creating efficient systems, Joe ensures that instructors have everything they need to teach at their best—and that students have access to high-quality, inspiring music education.
His work behind the scenes helps create a learning environment where creativity can thrive, schedules run smoothly, and the experience is seamless for families and staff alike. Joe’s goal is to make sure the Music Academy continues to grow as a place where both teachers and students feel supported, valued, and excited to be part of a vibrant musical community.
General Manager
As General Manager of the Music Academy, Amber is the friendly and organized force behind the daily experience of our students, families, and teachers. She oversees scheduling, onboarding, billing, and student support—ensuring that every detail is handled with care and every interaction feels smooth and stress-free.
Amber works closely with both new and returning families to make sure students are placed in the right programs and supported throughout their musical journey. She’s also a key resource for our teaching team, helping to create a positive, well-organized environment where instructors can focus on what they do best: teaching and inspiring.
With a warm, approachable style and a sharp eye for detail, Amber helps make the Music Academy a place where everything runs efficiently—and where students and teachers alike feel supported and valued every step of the way.
